Workshop Assistant

Job Description

We are currently recruiting a workshop assistant for a small family-owned manufacturing company, who are based in the Selwyn district. This is an exciting opportunity which will start in 2025.

This is a varied role that could involve the following:

  • Using workshop plant such as polishers and grinders.
  • Assembly work on kilns
  • Operating a furnace
  • Making clay bricks
  • General housekeeping and labouring


Requirements for this role:

  • Ideally you will have experience with insulation, brickwork, and/or furnace operating.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in hot conditions when required.
  • Available for an immediate start
  • Reliable transport
  • Clean criminal record
