Job Description
In this role you will be accountable for ensuring the effective management of the rendering, to ensure compliance to Company and Regulatory Standards, being an effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The Rendering Plant Supervisor and Fellmongery Supervisor report directly to this role.
Some of the Key Result Areas are:
To be proactive with instigation and development of new systems.
To help form part of the improvement on Plant towards modernization and cost savings.
Mechanical Skills: The ability to demonstrate mechanical Trade skills.
Breakdowns: Control of Breakdowns/Plant Efficiencies.
Quality Control: Skin and Hide quality kept to a high standard.
Documentation: Appropriate completion of relevant documentation and Ecert Management related to shipping of orders.
Active involvement in maintaining resource consent compliance.
Assist in consent monitoring where required.
Oversee effluent plant to ensure best practice to consent compliance
Conduct audits and inspections as required under the site assurance and verification programme.
Log H&S audits and inspections and associated findings in Assura and take action to address findings.
Actively participate in health and safety audits conducted by others.
Foster a positive safety culture within your team and in your interactions with others
Ensure that processes for assessment and verification of competency are effective and meet established AFFCO H&S Management System requirements.
Participate in workshops/safety initiatives and activities that improve your health and safety knowledge and skills and assist members of your team for the same purpose.
