Job Description

At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.

Tasks Include:

  • planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
  • monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
  • demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
  • preparing and cooking food
  • explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
  • may select and train staff
  • may freeze and preserve foods

About the Role:

As a key member of our kitchen team, you’ll be responsible for:

  • ✅ Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering supplies
  • ✅ Overseeing food quality at every stage, from preparation to presentation
  • ✅ Collaborating with Managers, third parties, and staff on food preparation
  • ✅ Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures with the ability to train junior staff if required
  • ✅ Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes
  • ✅ Ensuring strict adherence to hygiene regulations, understanding and complying with local rules and regulations and updating any documentation relating to this
  • ✅ Training and mentoring kitchen staff (where required)
  • ✅ Freezing and preserving foods as needed


What We’re Looking For:

  • Formal culinary qualifications OR at least three years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • A passion for delivering top-quality food
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

What you’ll do

We require someone with some skills in South American/Spanish cuisine, use of BBQ, Grill, Paella making and excellent knife skills. Our menu focusses on creating authentic food combined with exceptional local ingredients.
