Transport Depot Assistant - Whangarei
Be part of our Whangarei Depot Team as a Transport Depot Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Foodies whānau and work for one of the largest employers in New Zealand.

As a Transport Depot Assistant, you’ll:
· Support the depot in the day-to-day running of the shift and directly report into the Transport Depot Manager.
· You’ll work across both freight handling and dispatching.
· Be responsible for the management of the fleet vehicles to achieve full utilisation of each delivery unit and to ensure profitability.
· Ensure the correct despatch procedures are adhered to provide a seamless billing cycle for both internal/external businesses relating to FSNI Transport.
· Ensure that all Transport management Systems procedures for dispatch are completed in a timely manner.
· Live and breathe the FSNI safety culture and associated journey to ensure our team members “go home safely” each day.

What skills and experience you need
· 2+ years’ experience in Transport/logistics operations.
· Sound knowledge of transport and warehouse procedures and systems.
· An understanding of food safety compliance
· Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential
· Competent problem solver and decision maker
· Display an extremely high customer service ethic, a friendly manner and a willing attitude and commitment to service delivery
