They have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate or Senior Façade Engineer to join their team in Auckland.
In this role you will work collaboratively within a multi-discipline environment, to provide expert advice and assist the delivery of high-quality technical reports.

The Role
- Supporting the Associate Principal External Envelopes for input into project bids/tenders.
- Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to prescribed quality.
- Maintaining regular contact with clients and consenting authorities.
- Liaising with the client or other project disciplines concerning issues relating to the façade scope.
- Working with the architect to develop concept details of a façade system to suit the required aesthetic, building type, building use and local climate and generate details for tender of the façade package.
- Developing preliminary engineering design and checks of façades and steel structures/architectural features.
- Carrying out site inspections of façade installation where required.
- Generating concise, clear, accurate technical written reports and provide engineering support for peer reviews.
About You
- Bachelor of Engineering.
- Quality engineering design ability, and strong knowledge of technical specifications.
- In-depth knowledge of building envelope materials such as glass, aluminium, waterproofing membrane, sealants, brick veneer, stone cladding, etc.
- Process planning and quality control – ensuring systems and processes are efficient and reflect company quality and high-level service.
- Excellent communication skills - written and spoken.
- Attention to detail and ability to solve problems.
- In-depth understanding of the glass and façade industry.
- The ability to work independently and in a team.
- Self-motivation and reliability.
- A desire to continue to personally and professionally develop.
- A minimum of five years of relevant engineering experience - locally or internationally.
