Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator / 2IC to join our client's food production team in Onehunga. This is a dynamic role for a highly motivated individual who can manage various tasks, including order picking, stock control, and machinery operation. The position also involves lifting, clerical work, and supervising a small team. If you are a reliable and proactive team player with leadership potential, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Picking ingredients and orders for food production, ensuring accuracy
Manual lifting of up to 25kgs
Managing inwards and outwards goods efficiently
Overseeing stock control, stock orders, and inventory management
Inputting orders into the computer system
Operating forklifts to move goods within the warehouse
Assisting in the smooth running of production operations
Supervising and supporting junior team members when needed
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar food production role
Strong multitasking ability and time management skills
Forklift license (preferred)
Walkie Stacker
Ability to lift up to 25kgs manually
Experience with stock control and order input systems
Good computer skills for data entry and order processing
Team leader qualities with the ability to manage a small team as 2IC
High attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
Hours - 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday Pay- $27- $28ph depending upon experience
