Job Description:
The Company
Our client is a well-known global manufacturer of bespoke industrial equipment. They manufacture top quality, complex equipment that are tailored to their customers' needs. Most of the equipment and parts are shipped overseas once they are made at their workshop in Hamilton.
The Role
You will be managing a team of 7 to 16 warehousing staff and be responsible of the daily operation of the warehouse. This is a hands-on role where you will be working alongside the team on the floor and jump in to assist where needed. You will also co-ordinate with production, plan and improve warehouse processes.
We are seeking someone who has previous leadership and operational experience working in a warehouse, including pick packing, devanning, forklift driving, organising stock, etc. Experience in using a warehouse management systems, as well as knowledge in supply chain processes with inwards and outwards goods are also essential for this role.
In summary, the requirements are,
- Hands-on warehousing experience
- Leadership experience in a familiar field and the ability to create a strong, team-oriented culture
- Able to problem solve and think outside the box
- Experience with WMS
