We are currently on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to join us at Victoria University in Wellington. This position is a Permanent full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week during the education terms. We offer flexible working hours and conditions to suite your lifestyle! Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Preparing bulk meals for university students
  • Assist with ordering and stock rotation
  • Complying with Food safety standards
  • Assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties


He kōrero mōu / About you:

If you're our ideal candidate;

  • You will be a team player, passionate about food and have excellent time management skills.
  • You will have outstanding customer service and be flexible, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Having the ability to work proactively both independently and as part of a team is essential, as is a minimum 2 years' experience as a Cook/Chef.
  • Ideally you will have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment and hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167).
  • You will be a pro at Health & Safety
  • Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
