About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Full-Time Food Service Associate to work at Dunedin Hospital. Working hours will be Tuesday 9:30am-6:00pm and Wednesday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

You will be responsible for:

• working as part of a team taking exceptional care of people by enhancing the overall dining experience while performing patient meal service on assigned wards
• menu selections
• tray assembly
• tray delivery and pick
• special requests
• maintenance of floor stock
• in-between nourishment's and beverages
• ensuring that all requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner and assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and experience:

If you're our perfect candidate you will be physically fit, hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. Ideally you will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167). You will have superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality. This role requires a pro-active approach to safety and utilisation of all of the safety equipment and procedures provided by Compass Group.
