Do you have a talent for troubleshooting and a passion for keeping machinery in top condition? We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter with Welding experience - (Mig, TiG & Stick) to join our team and help maintain and enhance equipment in a fast-paced sawmill setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of sawmill equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Perform regular inspections to detect potential issues and implement timely solutions.
  • Work closely with production teams to optimize machinery performance and ensure workplace safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards in all maintenance activities.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter with Welding experience - (Mig, TiG & Stick) ideally within a sawmill or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with sawmill machinery such as saw guides and edgers is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive maintenance approach.
