Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator / 2IC to join our client's food production team in Onehunga. This is a dynamic role for a highly motivated individual who can manage various tasks, including order picking, stock control, and machinery operation. The position also involves lifting, clerical work, and supervising a small team. If you are a reliable and proactive team player with leadership potential, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking ingredients and orders for food production, ensuring accuracy
  • Manual lifting of up to 25kgs
  • Managing inwards and outwards goods efficiently
  • Overseeing stock control, stock orders, and inventory management
  • Inputting orders into the computer system
  • Operating forklifts to move goods within the warehouse
  • Assisting in the smooth running of production operations
  • Supervising and supporting junior team members when needed



Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar food production role
  • Strong multitasking ability and time management skills
  • Forklift license (preferred)
  • Walkie Stacker
  • Ability to lift up to 25kgs manually
  • Experience with stock control and order input systems
  • Good computer skills for data entry and order processing
  • Team leader qualities with the ability to manage a small team as 2IC
  • High attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards


Hours - 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday
Pay- $27- $28ph depending upon experience

Start date- 7th Jan 2025
