Huami Chinese Restaurant offers traditional cuisine with a modern twist. In the heart of Auckland CBD in Federal Street, to further tantalise and shape a world-class dining experience right here in Auckland, located in SkyCity's award-winning dining precinct is our authentic contemporary Chinese restaurant.
Featuring a main dining room with a variety of round tables, banquette seating and three private rooms, we offer a lunch and dinner service that's sharp and truly above the rest. The cuisine is authentic yet contemporary, prepared using traditional techniques, methods and ingredients in our open kitchen. There is live seafood, exquisite hand-crafted dim sum and expertly prepared BBQ as well as dishes from the wok. We also feature the only wood fired duck oven in New Zealand!
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Huami are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract to support this successful restaurant. You'll be responsible for
- Assisting the restaurant manager with day-to-day decisions relative to the operation of the restaurant
- Maximizing customer satisfaction by ensuring a tight knit, cohesive team deliver an enjoyable experience at all times.
- Optimising efficiency and effectiveness through management of the shift
- Supporting the manager in financial management, cost control and P&L's
Mōu | About You
Ideally, you'll come from a rich background in front of house leadership in high end restaurants and have unparalleled knowledge of the hospitality sector. You will have;
- Minimum 2 years restaurant/hospitality experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience successfully leading a team at a supervisory or DM level
- An understanding or appreciation of Chinese Culture
- The ability to speak either Cantonese or Mandarin would be advantageous (although this is not an absolute must)
