About Us Chatterbox Charitable Trust (www.chatterbox.org.nz) is a grassroots initiative just six months young, with a big vision: An Aotearoa where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported through meaningful chat. Our purpose is to normalise conversations about the "big things" in life by creating spaces and resources that empower Kiwis to connect more deeply. We do this by:
Installing Chatterbox Seats in public spaces – we already have 9 installed across the country, from Gore to Tutukaka.
Providing education and practical tools to spark impactful conversations.
Raising awareness about the power of chat in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health.
What We’re Looking For: We're seeking a passionate volunteer with experience in funding applications or grant writing to support our next phase of growth. Ideally, you can offer a few hours of your time (pro bono) to:
Help us understand what makes a strong funding application
Share successful examples or templates
Assist in drafting an initial application to get us started
If you have a knack for turning purpose into compelling prose and want to support a small organisation making a big impact, we’d love to hear from you.
