Are you an experienced finance professional with a knack for numbers? We’re looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join a supportive and purpose-driven organisation based in the heart of Wellington’s CBD.

About the Role As the Finance Officer, you’ll be a critical part of a small but mighty finance team. Working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant, your role will involve end-to-end finance functions—managing accounts payable and receivable, daily bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate cashflow records, and supporting month-end and year-end reporting.

You’ll also be a go-to person for resolving financial queries, liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, and playing an active role in improving and automating processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting
  • Accounts payable and receivable processing
  • Debtor and creditor reconciliations
  • Month-end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with reporting and audit preparation
  • Supporting internal controls and process improvements
  • Communicating with members, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve queries


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting support role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and accounting/banking software
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritise
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset and a team-first attitude
