Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the Enterprise Network Design Engineer (Security and Network Design), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and enhancement of the Enterprise Network and Security services 24 x 7 operational domain.



You will be an active part of the DevOps function to deliver significant improvements across the various technology towers across One New Zealand, as well as post and pre-sales consulting.



While there are specific outcomes you will need to deliver, you will have the autonomy to influence how you meet these outcomes though collaboration with your colleagues (inside and outside your team) and your managers.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Delivering accurate, cost-effective designs aligned to architectural, design and operational requirements considering all E2E impacts.
  • Working with the project team and the customer to deliver solution independently.
  • Implementation of network and security change as per agreed processes
  • Developing and implement processes, procedure, and automation to improve operational performance.
  • Ensuring service integrity is maintained through an effective maintenance program.


Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Ability to provide accurate pre & post-sales consulting.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the Enterprise services domain:

-SD-WAN
-Branch Networking (Wired & Wi-Fi)
-Datacentre Networking (Nexus, UCS etc)
-Security – Firewalls/IPS/VPN/Proxies/DDoS
-Access Control Systems

  • Experience with some of the following programs / systems:

-Cisco Routers/Switches, WLC, ISE
-Checkpoint, F5, Fortinet firewalls/Proxies
-Zscaler/Cisco+ Secure Connect
-CUCM
-Python

  • Applicable vendor certifications are desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen to pass security clearance checks
