The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Our casual roles cover leave for permanent Support Workers, providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of our services (community mobile, respite, residential and recovery). Join us today and expand your skillset!
This varied role could see you working on a variety of different tasks:
- When working in a respite service you would support wellbeing by providing a listening ear, supporting on site activities such as mindfulness, medication, maintaining the space, cooking, cleaning and hosting visiting clinical teams. For our respite services, applications must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent, or are currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent
In our residential services you would be working alongside whai ora to achieve their goals which can include moving towards independence with appointments, shopping, cleaning, medication etc.
The hours of work are irregular and offered when available. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You | Mōu
- A current full driver’s licence
- Current first aid certificate or are you willing to obtain one
- For our respite services, applications must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent, or are currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent
- Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts
