The purpose of the cleaner position is to provide a range of cleaning services to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. The cleaner is further responsible for maintaining a professionally presented and safe environment for our staff and customers.

This position will be based in the newly built Poseidon (P8) Hanger Facility at RNZAF Ohakea. It requires a higher level of security clearance (Secret Vetting) to work in this facility. Information on this requirement can be found Defence-Industry-Security-Guide.pdf (nzdf.mil.nz).

  • Provides efficient, cleaning service and is responsive to the demands and needs of our customers
  • Effectively manages time to ensure all cleaning duties are completed within required deadlines.
  • Uses all equipment in accordance with procedures and instructions and maintains all equipment in a clean condition.
  • Report faults and damage of or to equipment to supervisor.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with team members and always addresses colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Shows an ability to work well within the team and takes on the responsibility of ensuring all work tasks are completed.
  • Ensures a safe and hazard free workplace environment by reporting any health and safety hazards. Always complies with the organisation’s occupational health and safety standards.
