At Civic Waste we're a long standing supplier of services to NZ cities. We contract to Councils and Private Companies for waste removal, road/hard surface sweeping, removing graffiti, water blasting, pavement cleaning and more!

Due to an internal promotion, we now require someone to join our Hamilton team in the role of Operations Support Administrator.

This role will involve the monitoring and allocation of jobs for contracts via the job management systems. You will be required to provide operational administrative support to operations, which will contribute to the effective and efficient running of the operations. You will also be the first point of contact between customers, field staff and managers by responding to any low level questions and issues.

This is a permanent full time Monday - Friday position.

Additional duties will include:

  • Liaise with Specialised Vehicle Coordinator (SVC) in regards to job allocation for Heavy Vehicle Work
  • Ensure all jobs are closed off in a timely manner
  • Order and purchase for the depot on request
  • Be the first point of contact for Commercial Customers, entering query into 3PM system administration for job creation & allocation
  • General administrative duties as required including internal/external reporting, assisting events co-ordination, correspondence, filing and any other ad hoc duties
  • Maintaining appropriate registers as needed such as phones, keys, and depot suppliers
  • Assist Supervisor and Manager with Recruitment
  • Front of house for deliveries and walk in queries


We are looking for someone who is pro-active in seeking more work and work efficiency, with excellent time management and good written and verbal communication skills. You'll also be able to multi-task efficiently and prioritize urgent jobs, whilst still being able to complete daily tasks.

Our successful applicant will also have the following skills and attributes:

  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft suite, predominantly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional attitude in dealings with all internal and external contacts and stakeholders.
