Our Business Advisory Division is committed to providing strategic advice, innovative solutions and service excellence to large middle market businesses and small to medium enterprises. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and ambitious Accountant to join the Business Advisory team working out of our Invercargill office.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within a talented, committed, and high performing team and give you access to interesting, hands-on work and both established and emerging clients. You will be encouraged to be the best that you can be and afforded opportunities to continuously develop yourself through on the job learning or specific training tailored to your needs.
What will your typical week look like?
Produce financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies
As integral part of the team, consistently provide quality accountancy services with efficiency and accuracy, helping client to understand their tax liabilities and due dates well in advance, so they can plan for these payments (or refunds), assisting cash flow
Working with a range of the top accounting software, helping clients to learn the full functionality of their system and get the most out of it for their business needs
Contribute to our virtual CFO offering, supporting the outsourcing of finance functions for clients
Prepare cash flow forecasts to help clients plan their cash-based transactions to meet their financial commitment

Let’s talk about you!
You are someone with…..
At least 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in medium to large public accounting environments
You are either studying towards or have completed your CA or CPA
Understanding of agricultural financial management, cultivating financial success for New Zealand's farming industry.
Possess the drive to provide clients with an exceptionally high level of advice and care
Have an active interest in building their professional profile in the local community; and
Strong analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
A desire to work collaboratively so that the team shines
