We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Commercial Services Infrastructure Team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our aeronautical infrastructure development projects are supported through the procurement phase with timely and effective contract planning, tendering, formation, and conforming.

Key responsibilities are

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes from start to finish, including developing procurement strategies, preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will work closely with our project directors, managers, and planners to deliver complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

Key Challenges:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for major infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and issue tender documents, including requests for proposal (RFPs) and invitations to tender (ITT)
  • Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop procurement plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with stakeholders throughout the procurement process


What you will bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. procurement, construction management, engineering)
  • 5-10 years' experience in senior commercial roles with a focus on procurement or contract management
  • Proven track record of successful commercial and contractual negotiation
  • Strong attention to detail and probity-related processes
  • Ability to work with professional, technical, and trades staff and contractors
  • Experience working closely with large asset developer/owner/operator organisations
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution (e.g. Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply)
  • Proven experience in managing claims and disputes
  • Experience in the successful delivery of airport or other large, complex public infrastructure projects
