We’re looking for a journalist to join our Auckland-based team. Our journalists find stories and produce high-quality journalism and content that helps make NZME a leading publisher of digital and print publications and of broadcast programming.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT:
Generate unique and compelling story ideas that wins audiences.
Maintain a strong network of contacts and story sources, together with good local knowledge and a wide awareness of news and current topics of interest.
Deliver complete, error-free packages using a multimedia approach (digital, print and broadcasting)
Ensure premium content is thoroughly planned and well-executed
Work quickly and efficiently, managing time and prioritising to meet all deadlines.
ABOUT YOU:
You’ll have a journalism qualification and newsroom experience, committed to delivering high-impact, authentic, relentlessly interesting journalism for our audiences.
Your attributes and talents will include a dogged pursuit of the truth, and high-quality research and writing skills.
The right candidate will find and create content that resonates locally and nationally thanks to great contact building and a great nose for news.
A positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential.
