BestStart Herewini Street is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Registered Teacher to join our energetic and tight-knit team as our new Head Teacher. Our focus is to provide quality education to the children in our community.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.

Role requirements:

We're looking for a natural leader who shares our values and vision who has a good understanding of programme planning and assessment as well as a drive and passion for growth.

As well as:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
  • A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculum
  • Good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
