Some duties:
- Clinical Leadership: Implement and maintain high standards of clinical practice.
- People Management: Develop and motivate staff in collaboration with the Facility Manager.
- Communication and Teamwork: Foster effective communication and teamwork with staff, residents, and families/whānau.
- Occupancy Management: Ensure occupancy requirements are met.
- Risk Management: Minimize clinical risks and manage exposure.
- Quality Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure clinical operations comply with all contractual and legislative requirements.
- Resource Management: Assist in managing facility assets and financial resources efficiently.
Skills and Experience
- Current APC
- InterRai training
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical skills, particularly within the aged care sector.
- Relevant experience in leadership roles within a continuing care hospital facility is preferred.
- Strong skills in management and administration.
- Computer literate with the ability to produce concise and accurate reports.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with families and residents.
