Are you an experienced asbestos consultant looking for an exciting opportunity in Wellington or Christchurch? Or looking to relocate?
Join our clients amazing team, a leading environmental consultancy, and make a positive impact on public health and safety. We are currently looking for two Senior Asbestos Consultants to work in their Wellington and Christchurch offices.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive asbestos surveys, inspections, and risk assessments in compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
Provide expert advice and guidance to clients regarding asbestos management plans, remediation strategies, and safe work practices.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure asbestos-related requirements are met during construction, renovation, or demolition projects.
Carry out air monitoring and sampling to assess asbestos fiber levels and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including asbestos registers, management plans, and clearance certificates.
Stay up to date with current asbestos regulations, industry trends, and best practices to maintain a high level of expertise.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as an asbestos consultant, with a strong background in asbestos surveying, sampling, and management.
In-depth knowledge of local asbestos regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations.
Proficiency in conducting asbestos surveys, risk assessments, and air monitoring using industry-standard methodologies and equipment.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to accurately identify and assess asbestos-containing materials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and deliver effective presentations.
Professional certifications such as BOHS P402, P403, P404 and Assessor's License
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Wellington and Christchurch regions as required.
