Job Description

The role :

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to join our high performing team in Auckland.
Reporting to Hub Sales Manager, this role will require a proven performer with a track record of developing new business, as well as managing a sales team growing a portfolio of existing customers.
This role has accountability for contributing to achieving Auckland sales results, increased margin, and profitability by growing a select group of existing customers and acquiring new customers.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Business Acquisition: Research and develop new business plans, convert leads, and establish customer relationships.
  • Sales Processes: Advocate for digital tools and increase market share.
  • Account Management: Maintain customer engagement, provide technical support, and ensure service promise.
  • Organizational Commitment: Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Safety Management: Foster a safety-first environment and contribute to continuous improvement.


About you :

  • At least 5/10 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Proven track record in sales roles, with strong relationship-building abilities
  • Experience in developing sales strategies and creating actionable plans
  • Background in customer service, ensuring excellent client satisfaction
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to evaluate business opportunities
  • Highly organised and capable of working autonomously to meet goals
  • Leadership experience in managing internal and external relationships
  • Aptitude for collaborating with teams at all organisational levels
  • Proficient in establishing strong industry relationships and maintaining a positive reputation
