Overview:

The Functional Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of functional components and ensuring that the project meets its objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Helps lead the project POD team, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Provide strategic direction and oversight to achieve project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with the rest of the POD team to define POD-specific planning and solution design, to ensure seamless integration and execution of supply chain processes within the solution. Ability to effectively lead and facilitate stakeholder workshops to ensure understanding of how the process steps flow through the o9 solution, to optimise solution functionality.
  • Process Optimisation: Bring Consumer Product and Good planning expertise, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practice process design to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Work with the End-to-End Product Owner to shape the user stories and guide functional teams for process coherence.
  • Functional Design: Responsible for supporting the Solution Architect with the functional design of the solution, and completing the detailed functional design.
  • Data Analysis: Understand how to utilise data analytics and demand forecasting to optimise inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Performance Benchmarking: Evaluate the client's performance against industry peers using benchmarks and KPIs to identify areas needing improvement and optimisation.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and success.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.


Qualifications:

  • Three-five years’ experience in implementing advanced planning solutions, such as o9 or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Specialist knowledge within Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and/or Logistics/Transport Planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and translate the solution capability into future state processes.
  • Experience in process optimisation and performance benchmarking.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in supply chain management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.


Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in supply chain management or related fields.
  • Execution experience across different domains
  • Experience with data analytics tools and predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with sustainable supply chain practices and value chain optimisation.
  • A track record of successful delivery.
