Tradestaff is recruiting for an Experienced Hammer Hand or 3rd Year Apprentice for one of our clients based in Cambridge & Hamilton, Waikato.
If you're passionate about hands-on work and keen to learn and grow in a supportive environment, this could be the role for you!

About the Role:In this role, you'll be involved in a variety of residential and commercial construction projects. From assisting qualified tradespeople to carrying out your own tasks on-site, you'll gain valuable experience while contributing to the successful completion of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the construction of residential and commercial projects.
  • General hammer hand duties, including framing, roofing, and cladding.
  • Carrying and organizing materials on-site to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Learning and growing your skills under the supervision of qualified tradespeople.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met on site.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience as a Hammer Hand or 3rd Year Apprentice in the building and construction industry.
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial building practices.
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual labor tasks.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to learning and improving your trade skills.
  • Health and safety conscious and reliable on-site.
  • Full NZ driver’s license and reliable transport.
