We are looking for Production Chefs to be part of our team at Weir House in Victoria University of Wellington. This is a permanent full-time role with 30 hours per week and the successful candidate must be able to work during weekends.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
In this position you will be responsible for;
Assisting the Manager with the daily operation of the Kitchen.
Preparing, cooking and presenting food ensuring the quality of lunches we serve are of top quality!
Health and Safety is our number 1 rule, you will be an advocate and role model for safety in the workplace.
Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
Reliable, flexible, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Minimum 2 years' experience in a production kitchen environment
Hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168) and Level 5 Cookery qualifications
will form great rapport with suppliers, delivery personnel and kitchen staff.
will be great with numbers.
You must be confident with Microsoft applications and computer use.
will have a flexible approach and the ability to keep calm under pressure but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for customer service and quality.
