Ko tō tūranga – your role
As a Learning & Capability Lead, you will be responsible for delivering performance and capability solutions across large-scale, cross-functional portfolios while providing strategic, cultural, and governance oversight to core programs.



Your role will encompass a variety of initiatives, including onboarding, induction, leadership development, regulatory compliance training, certifications, learning academies, product deployment, and the ongoing maintenance and management of existing learning programs. This role requires a proactive approach to consulting, curating, creating, and facilitating learning experiences that equip teams with the skills and knowledge needed to meet organizational priorities.



You will oversee and govern existing learning and capability programs, ensuring alignment with a digital-first strategy and contributing to organizational culture. Collaboration on key initiatives and driving digital adoption are essential components of this role, as is supporting the delivery of our Best People strategy.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Consult on capability, performance and culture needs to ensure that we make informed decisions about learning solutions and initiatives
  • Develop, curate and deliver performance enabling solutions that incorporate the most suitable methods for the learning need and learning context
  • Programme ownership and governance of One NZ programmes including cross business onboarding, induction, technology, leadership and development programmes
  • Manage regulatory and compliance requirements, academies, product deployment, and maintain current learning programmes.


Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of performance and capability programs, including change management within a professional service environment and/or a large, complex organisation.
  • Advanced communication skills - articulate in the written and spoken word and ability to “tell a story”, through a variety of channels and forums.
  • Ability to connect learning and capability to support organisational culture
  • Comfortable in strategic thinking and core program delivery/facilitation
  • Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy and project management skills.
  • Stakeholder management and ability to prioritise effectively with negotiation, presentation, and management skills.
  • A proven record of using data and insights to deliver creative solutions along with a digital first mindset and approach.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning of latest Learning and Capability tools, frameworks and explore and implement new solutions where applicable
