Due to an ongoing consistent work load we have a position available for an ideally qualified General Engineer or experienced time served General Engineer/Engineering Trade Assistant for full-time on-going position based in Invercargill.
Daily tasks can involve assisting with light, medium and heavy fabricating, maintaining agricultural gear to heavy road equipment to carrying out on site routine maintenance. We are seeking individuals capable to take on jobs big or small and who enjoy a challenge. There is no shortage of variety in these jobs.
To be considered you must have.
Experience in a combination of light, medium and heavy fabrication
Experience in lathe work would be advantageous
Proven experience in a General Engineering workshop
Proven problem-solving abilities
Ability to multitask and work at times under pressure
Self-motivation and willingness to learn and be a team player
Physical fitness as there will be at times heavy lifting and the requirement to get into tricky places.
Great communication skills.
Need to be able to pass a NZAS medical, full police clearance and other major industry inductions like Fonterra for example
