He angitūtanga: The opportunity Auckland Council’s Governance Systems department has an opportunity for a permanent full-time Business Liaison to join the team. This role will report directly to the Manager of Governance Systems Solutions.
You will be predominantly based at the Town Hall; however, flexibility is required depending on the Town Hall calendar.
This is a critical role for the daily operations of our Policy, Planning and Governance Division. We work as part of a team to provide high-quality specialist support and assistance.
It’s an important role in customer service and process improvement.
You can expect to: • Provide administrative, payroll and technology support to our elected members. • Use tools such as Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience would be ideal • Provide meeting management, including set up & break down • Create purchase orders, capacity grants and contracts in SAP; manage payroll processes and systems • Maintain the register of interests for our Elected Member
He kōrero mōu: About you This role requires experience in the business administration support space. Ideally, you will have a knack for business acumen and political nous. You will likely have experience in large, complex and potentially political organisations.
To be successful in this role you will be quick thinking and have to ability to remain calm under pressure. Prioritisation and being proactive will feature in your skill set to ensure a smooth operation.
We are specifically looking for: • Demonstrated ability to use various computer software systems. • High level communication; both written and verbal • Familiarity working within payroll systems; administrating pay-runs

Salary range: 63-74k
