We are currently looking for an experienced Structural Steel Welder to join a busy structural workshop in Christchurch. This could be an ongoing role for the right candidate.
Ideally, we are looking for a candidates that can commit long term, however we will consider applicants that only want short term work, including working holiday visa holders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Weld in all positions MIG (Gas & gasless)
- ARC Welding
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.
- Be able to work in the workshop or on site
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Skills and attributes Required:
- Ideally hold a trade qualification
- Ability to work unsupervised and complete jobs from start to finish alone
- Ability to fabricate accurately from drawings
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
