Join our dynamic team at the Air New Zealand Lounge in Nelson as a Catering Assistant. This is a Casual Position, hours of work are on "as an when required" basis upon business needs. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service, ensuring our customers have a memorable and relaxing experience.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Provide proactive and friendly food and beverage service to customers.
- Set up, clean, and maintain lounge areas, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Prepare and serve beverages, including espresso coffee, responsibly.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, adhering to food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a high level of service.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
- Experience in a similar role with good communication skills.
- Flexible approach and attitude, being a good team player.
- Physically fit and reliable with a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a catering environment and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) are desirable.
