About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
You will be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Te Whare Haumaru service. This is a 6 beds crisis respite located in Flat Bush. You will be required to work in pairs on every shift. Referrals are received from the home-based treatment teams – through intake assessments.
This is a full-time position based in Redoubt Road, Flat Bush. You will be working Tuesday – Saturday, 11pm – 7:30am.
Responsibilities include:
- Advocate and support people to be well and thrive.
- Connect them with resources that support them in living well and assist them in building resilience
- Help people connect with their communities, building the relationships that matter most
- Foster positive change for a more positive life
- Provide medication support for our people
- Help your team members with cooking, cleaning
- Be a driver for our people – shopping, activities etc.

You | Mōu
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery and strengths-focused way.
You will also have:
- Current full New Zealand driver’s licence
- Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
- Preferred experience in Mental Health or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
