About the role:
The Transactional Banking platform is the heart of the bank providing all the cool online / real-time transactional services that power ASB. As a SAP Basis Lead, you will be supporting the SAP squads on a large migration project. Your everyday tasks should be like these:
Responsible for the management, maintenance and support of SAP environments
Work and collaborate with other technology teams & vendors to support the SAP landscape
Lead efforts to troubleshoot and/or resolve SAP software issues, providing support to operating system and infrastructure teams
Providing the day-to-day technical support to SAP Teams
Work across functional support areas to tune SAP Applications for optimal performance
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP systems, including installations, upgrades and configurations
Manage SAP users, authorisations and profiles
Establish and maintain system configurations, performance tuning and troubleshooting procedures
Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery plans are operational and effective
Support and perform audits to inspect that a clean core platform is maintained
Provide thought leadership on TRBK implementation and SAP Best Practice
Ensure system performance, availability, and security through regular monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting
Ensure all the SAP systems are up to date with patching and updates
Provide technical leadership to all the engineers in the SAP Basis team
Support the CXO to meet the Team KPIs/OKRs
Overall responsible for the optimal performance of the SAP ecosystem
About you:
We are looking for someone who has:
Extensive experience with SAP upgrades including Support Packs and Enhancements Packs
Extensive experience with SAP Performance tuning
Strong knowledge of SAP System architecture, administration and security
Extensive experience managing SAP ECC systems
Proficiency in managing SAP systems, including installations, upgrades, and configurations
Experience with SAP NetWeaver and SAP Solution Manager is a must and S/4HANA is a bonus
Knowledge of databases such as Oracle RDBMS and SAP HANA
Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve system issues
Expertise in SAP security, including user management, roles and authorizations
Ability to mentor new engineers on S/4HANA and other supporting SAP systems/tools/processes
Proficient in agile methodologies and ability to run agile ceremonies
Proven ability to deliver strong customer and business outcomes, with a can-do attitude and growth & learning mindset
Ability to navigate challenging situations & people and achieve the desired outcomes
Outcomes you are responsible for:
General Ops
Day to day operations of the SAP Basis Team
Audits: Perform regular audits to identify deviations from standards and opportunities for improvements
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to SAP Solutions
Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with industry regulations and SAP best standards
Promote clean core and align solutions to TRBK OOTB features/capabilities
Technical/Thought Leadership
Within the SAP focus area
Guidance and mentorship primarily to the SAP Basis team
For SAP Basis projects, including installations, upgrades and performance tuning
TRBK Implementation
Successful Implementation of the TRBK Platform via providing Thought and Technical Leadership to the project and ensuring that the delivered platform is also operational, effective and efficient
Oversee data conversion activities, ensuring Oracle to HANA migration is successful and conversion process is optimised to the best enabling to minimised downtime for go live
