With our head office based in Christchurch and additional depots in Cromwell and Tawa, we are responsible for constructing and maintaining overhead and underground lines and equipment across these locations. The Team
Technology and Digital Solutions (TDS) includes a team of permanent employees with diverse IT backgrounds. TDS manages daily IT services and works on digitisation and system modernisation projects in areas like Integrated Asset Management, cybersecurity, automation, and process optimisation to enhance performance.
The Role
We need a skilled IT Support Technician to manage daily incidents and service requests (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 2.5) across various channels like email, phone, web, and in-person. Responsibilities include user training, facilitating onboarding and offboarding, supporting infrastructure maintenance, and managing end-user devices.
This position requires working on-site five days a week.
Pay range: $56,761 - $66,778
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing on-site troubleshooting and technical support for laptops, phones, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Configuring and installing new hardware and software as required.
- Assist in maintaining and optimizing IT systems to ensure maximum uptime and productivity.
- Resolving technical issues and queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Documenting all support activities and maintaining accurate records.
- Assisting with the implementation of new IT initiatives and projects.
- Overseeing the management of Microsoft 365 Suite, which includes procurement, licensing, and support.
- Managing Azure services involves handling cloud infrastructure and resource allocation.
About You
- A minimum of three years of experience in an IT support role within the Utility Sector is required.
- Relevant tertiary and/or industry-related qualifications
- Possess exceptional troubleshooting abilities and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of the Microsoft productivity suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Collaborative and positive attitude
