A 6 month, hourly rate contract for a Senior Investigator to lead complex investigations in AML and CFT regulation.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Investigator to lead complex and impactful investigations in AML and CFT regulation. This is a 6 month contract with an immediate start. To be considered for this position, you must have the right to work in New Zealand, demonstrated experience in AML and CFT regulation and hands on experience leading investigations and compiling information to take through to prosecution.
As a Senior Investigator, you will lead high-quality investigations and prosecutions of serious non-compliance cases under the AML/CFT Act. This role is based in central Wellington and you will collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver successful outcomes at a fast pace.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate complex investigations into breaches of the AML/CFT Act.
Develop comprehensive case plans and employ best practice methodologies.
Prepare and manage court files and evidence for prosecutions.
Provide timely reports and recommendations to the Investigation Manager.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners, including law enforcement and regulatory bodies.
Your Experience:
Strong knowledge of AML/CFT legislation and regulatory compliance.
Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven experience in managing complex investigations and preparing cases for court.
A tertiary qualification in investigation, law, or a related field.
