The role As an Automotive Technical Service Advisor, you will be the critical link between customers and technicians, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Duties include:
Customer interaction - provide expert advice, build relationships, and address enquiries
Service scheduling - efficiently book and coordinate vehicle servicing/repairs
Estimates and quotes - prepare accurate cost and time estimates for work required
Liaising with technicians - communicate job details and prioritise workflow
Parts coordination - work with suppliers and the parts department to ensure timely repairs
Follow-ups - update customers on progress and ensure satisfaction post-service
Record-keeping - maintain detailed service histories and documentation
Upselling services - recommend maintenance plans or additional services where appropriate
Warranty and compliance - advise on warranties and ensure work meets OEM/franchise standards
Provision of technical advice where required and assisting non-technical advisors with more complex technical enquiries
Who we're seeking
Ideal candidate - a technical background i.e. automotive trade experience, paired with strong customer-facing skills and relevant customer service experience
Open to experienced advisors - applicants without a technical background but with a proven ability to communicate often technically complex information will also be considered
Key traits - excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. A proactive attitude and passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences are also key
Experience working within a franchise/OEM dealership environment
General familiarity with dealership dealer management systems preferred
