The Role

This role will give you a rare opportunity to ‘make your mark’ in furthering our service in Queenstown, Otago.

As an Engineer with a strong background in civil design for land development and civil infrastructure projects, you’ll be working independently but in close co-operation with our team of engineers and surveyors.

Responsibilities include the management of a range of public and private sector projects, including liaison and relationship management with a diverse range of stakeholders including staff, clients, contractors, specialists and council staff.

About You

  • BE Civil (or equivalent)
  • 3 + years’ experience, ideally in Queenstown
  • Land development experience.
  • Must have ‘on the tools design experience’ using either 12D (preferably) or Civil3D.
  • Stormwater-focused engineer, experience in HEC-HMS and/or HEC-RAS highly desirable.
  • Practical ‘on site’ experience, ideally as an Engineer’s Rep under NZ3910 Conditions of Contract.
  • Working experience with local Council standards and codes of practice.
  • Commitment to safety and wellness.
  • Enjoys proactive teamwork.
  • Excellent communicator, including solid independent technical report writing skills e.g. infrastructure reports.
