The role is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the company’s control environment, internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. This role involves setting up internal control framework, conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The candidate is expected to lead business meetings, engage in discussions with the management team and conduct audits independently.
What will you be doing?
- Set up Internal Control framework
- Work in the annual internal audit plan, including audit objectives and procedures.
- Execute audits as assigned and complete detailed audit reports
- Review audit findings and recommendations with management and control owners
- Assist the Internal Audit Manager to monitor high risk policy procedures for both office and store levels. Ensure that all team members understand and adhere to these guidelines, fostering a culture of accountability and compliance
- Perform risk identification, evaluation and ongoing monitoring of emerging risk.
- Develop a thorough understanding of store operations to identify and assess potential risks at the store level
- Support the Internal Audit Manager with additional tasks and initiatives.
What do we need from you?
- Familiarity with audit methodology and internal control framework, e.g. COSO.
- Accounting firm working experiences are a plus.
- 6+ years of experience in relevant fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and interested to learn other software applications. Skilled at deriving insights from data.
- The ability to travel nationally and internationally as required. (10-15%)
- Excellent communication skills coupled with great people skills.
- Demonstrates resilience, adaptability and perseverance
- Team player who can interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Being self-motivated, detail-oriented and committed to the goals of the company.
