BestStart is seeking casual relievers to join our teams in Katikati and/or Whangamata, two of New Zealand's most beautiful coastal towns. This is your opportunity to gain valuable experience in early childhood education while working in a community that values growth, creativity, and flexibility.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting our dedicated teachers to create inspiring, hands-on learning experiences for tamariki.
  • Supporting children’s growth, curiosity, and creativity through engaging play and learning activities.
  • Helping maintain a safe, nurturing environment where children feel excited to explore and learn every day.


What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine love for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Previous ECE experience is helpful, but not necessary—what matters most is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility to work across Katikati or Whangamata centres—you can choose the location that works best for you!
  • Two references from previous Managers.
  • Valid ID and the ability to pass Police Vetting.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
