We currently have part-time Recreation Assistants vacancies at both Nairnville and Tawa Recreation Centres. These are unique multi-use facility that caters to many sport and recreation programmes. We provide affordable, accessible recreation and leisure opportunities to our communities that encourage participation and enhance the health and wellbeing for our Wellington communities. These positions would be perfect for those wishing for a career in the Sports and Recreation industry or someone looking at getting back into the workforce.
We're looking for someone who:
Has customer service experience
Is passionate about the Sport and Recreation industry
Possesses a customer focused and 'can do' attitude
Has great communication and people skills
Can work in a team and have fun
Has experience in basketball referring or netball umpiring (preferred but not essential)
So, do you enjoy working with people, young and old? This is a busy hands-on position where you will be responsible for setting up and packing down the Recreation Centre for our various programmes, organising and delivering birthday parties, umpiring, or referring leagues, supporting the Recreation Coordinators in administrative duties, ensuring the facility is tidy, presentable, and much more!!
These are permanent part-time roles, offering 27.80 per hour.
