We support wellbeing, flexible working and have a generous leave offering. There is the opportunity for growth, learning and career development. No two days are the same.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

You'll provide expert home loan advice to our customers across the Wellington region, building a network of clients across the area, supporting residential homeowners and property investors. You will grow and sustain new business opportunities in home loans, working in a range of diverse and non-traditional environments, so you'll love the idea of being flexible and adaptable.

We spoke with the Senior Partner that you'd report to, and they gave us some great insight on the role:

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Prospecting for new home lending opportunities and building rapport with customers
  • Identifying ways to help customers with their banking needs
  • Creating and submitting credit applications through to approval and drawdown
  • Developing existing and new relationships to drive new opportunities
  • Following up clients/leads
  • Helping new Zealanders fulfil their home ownership dreams

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?

Getting to work with the local community in which we live and making a difference to everyday Kiwis. This is a chance to build a BNZ mobile presence across the region and really promote BNZ as a great first choice for home lending.

What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?

You'll be passionate about home lending and the entire client journey from pre-approvals to drawdowns and an engaging, self-motivated induvial ready to build an exceptional brand across the region. This is an acquisition role so a desire to put yourself out there and really be a self-starter, resilient, motivated to succeed and driven to perform is essential. We are looking for:

  • Exceptional lending knowledge and credit skills in the home lending space
  • Attention to detail to get things right first time
  • You'll be familiar with the area and ideally already have strong relationships and networking abilities in and around the area
  • A sound understanding of the property market, as well as the housing under construction, property development and turnkey industries

This position is 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work weekends and afterhours as part of the full-time hours. This role is servicing customers across the Wellington region, therefore you will need to be comfortable with traveling across the region.

What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ?

Helping people around New Zealand grow and achieve their dreams, as well as seeing my team develop and get better in everything we do day-by-day.

What is the team culture and environment like?

You'll be part of a high performing team, recognised for its brilliant team culture with a supportive team spirit. As a Manager I'm supportive, engaging and inclusive.
