About the role
We're looking for Lifeguards to join us on a casual basis (as and when required) to work across Te Ngaengae and/or Wainuiomata and other pools if required.

As a lifeguard, you'll assist and support the Shift Supervisor and Team Leader's on duty to ensure our diverse community are receiving support and encouragement to take part in pool activities as well as making sure that all of our pool facilities are in tip-top shape.

About You

  • A current Pool Lifeguarding Certificate and First Aid certificate would be a great start, however for the right person training can be provided, as long as you can swim.
  • To gain the necessary qualifications, successful candidates will need to pass a pre-requisite swim test and must be available to attend a 1-day Lifeguard Training and 1-day First Aid Course.


Note: Those with the required qualifications will not need to complete the above training or assessment.

Due to the lifeguard qualification requirements applicants must be over the age of 16.
We're looking for great potential lifeguards who can think on their feet, ensuring we're meeting the ever changing needs of our customers. You'll need to be a team player and great communicator, happy to roll your sleeves up in order to get the job done.
