About the role

Our friendly team at Metlifecare Hillsborough Heights in Mount Roskill are on the look-out for an experienced Cleaner to join them on a part time basis, keeping our village 'sparkling' and taking pride in making their place of work 'gleam' with cleanliness.

On offer is a part time opportunity ideally Monday - Thursday working a minimum of 24 hours per week from 8.30am to 3.00pm (although there is some flexibility to allow this role to suit school hours).

Duties include:

Some of the great things you will be doing:

  • Cleaning village common areas
  • Cleaning individual apartments and sales units to a high standard
  • Personal laundry services for some of our contracted serviced apartment residents
  • Dealing with residents and other staff
  • Maintaining Health & Safety standards


Skills and Experience Required:

You'll be someone who takes pride in completing tasks to a high standard. We'll help you towards a career in the right direction.

  • Experience with commercial Cleaning and/or Laundry is beneficial
  • Have a positive outlook and be open to learning
  • Empathy, patience and willingness to deliver an outstanding service for our residents
  • Ability to work unsupervised yet be a strong and proactive team player with an eye for detail
  • You'll have empathy for the older person - this is key
  • Be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
