Programmed is a leading provider of open space and full facility maintenance services. We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Grounds Person to join our Sports & Mowing Team in Henderson.
In this role, you will learn hands-on skills in sports field maintenance and turf management. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain experience in:
- Cricket pitch & sports field preparation
- Mowing, edging, line marking & spraying
- Irrigation control & sports field repairs
- Renovation programs & weed control
- Ensuring grounds are well-presented & match-ready
With the right attitude and willingness to learn, this role can be a stepping stone into a rewarding career in Turf Management.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for green spaces and enjoys working outdoors
- Has a good level of fitness and agility for physical work
- Is eager to listen, learn, and grow in the turf industry
- Holds a full or restricted NZ Class 1 driver's license (manual driving ability is a must)
- Is open to pre-employment checks (medical & Ministry of Justice)
While previous experience in grounds or turf maintenance is a plus, it is not essential - we'll provide all the training you need!
