Job Description

Hygiene Assistant

The primary purpose of the - Hygiene Assistant role is to ensure that the Balclutha plant has no environmental contamination including chemical and microbiological within the factory environment.

To maintain the hygiene culture and standard within the plant by maintaining the high standard of cleanliness within the plant. Following the protocols and keeping records of this process.

Shift Pattern Wednesday to Saturday 5am until 2pm.

Skills required:

  • Understand the manufacturing environment (Quality and safety rules)
  • Food Manufacturing experience ideally and the ability to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
  • Teamwork and ability to work under pressure
  • Effective communication skills


To be successful in this role, you will also have:

  • High energy and commitment.
  • Experience in chemical handling is an advantage, training will be provided to suitable candidates.
  • High accuracy and sense of urgency.
  • Basic computer skills.
