About the Role


This is a full time (40 hrs per week), 4-month fixed term position, starting in April, through until the end of July.

At Comvita, we embrace flexible working, and this role will allow you to work from home and our offices in Paengaroa. Typically, our team members come to site a few times week for team collaboration and connection so for this reason would prefer applicants come from with a 45-minute commute to our offices in Paengaroa, BOP. 

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join our team to assist with our year-end audit. You will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks and dive deep into our systems, processes, and policies, with to evaluate control effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.


Some of the key tasks you will be responsible for include;

  • Conducting process walkthroughs and control evaluations
  • Identifying, assessing, and reporting on operational and financial risks
  • Testing compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Partnering with stakeholders to implement process improvements
  • Drafting and updating internal control and policy documentation




What we would like from you

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification (CA, CPA, CIA) essential
  • Several years in internal/external audit, risk, or financial controls
  • Strong grasp of internal control frameworks (COSO ideally)
  • Chinese language capabilities would be advantageous.
  • Analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and unwavering integrity
