The Company My client is a growing privately owned New Zealand company who have been operating for the last 8 years. Their main office is in Silverdale & they have a presence in Australia as well. They pride themselves in being a leader in their field with an innovative service offering.
The Role This is a newly created role being brought back to NZ from offshore. This role will report to the Group Finance manager. You will manage Accounts receivable ledger autonomously servicing around 2500 customers. This role will have a primary focus on Accounts receivables, as well as some credit control. Your key responsibilities will include:
Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, issuing statements, and reconciling customer accounts
Perform credit control tasks: review customer accounts, manage debt collection, and liaise with external stakeholders
Maintain customer accounts in the ERP system, including setup, PPSR debtor accounts, and Ezidebit setup
Review and process credit applications, conduct trade reference checks
Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure up-to-date records
Update remittances on cash flow forecasts
Foster effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of accounts receivable and debt collection matters
Assist with other accounting tasks such as journal entries and account preparation, as well as ad-hoc financial tasks as required
Your profile: To be considered for this role we are looking for an experienced Accounts receivable officer who can work independently yet is confident to liaise with internal & external stakeholders and clients. You will have the following attributes:
Experience in end-to-end accounts receivable process
Strong customer focus with an ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
Strong sense of initiative and ability to assume responsibility and take ownership of tasks
High level of organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Proficient Excel and systems experience
