Waikato Benchtops is a household name for producing quality laminate and stone benchtops for the Waikato and South Auckland areas. From their manufacturing base in Huntly, the team is passionate about producing a stunning benchtop to meet our customers' needs. The company is going through a growth phase, and as a result, we are looking for a stone factory hand to join the manufacturing side of the business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Stone Factory Manager, this role is a key member of the manufacturing team, and will help to drive the company forward in the coming years. The role's main focus is on fabricating benchtops and operating machines, however other tasks around the factory are sometimes required as well as occasional installation work. Whilst ideally the candidate will have proven experience in the manufacturing industry, this is not essential as most importantly, we are looking for someone fit and able to work in our fast-paced environment with the right attitude. The candidate must also be conversant with all aspects of Health & Safety.
To be considered for the role, the candidate would ideally possess most, if not all of the following criteria:
Benchtop manufacturing experience would be highly regarded but is not essential
Other trade or manufacturing experience would be advantageous
Power tools experience
Ability to read and interpret plans, measure, set-out and self-check
A keen eye for detail
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Customer Focused
A forklift certificate would be advantageous
